Our herd is selected for milk production above all. It costs me just as much to feed a mature doe who gives me 1# of milk a day as it does to feed a doe who gives me 5#, so I will always select for that 5# production. Form follows function, so we participate in Linear Appraisal, DHIR, and show when we can. Our bucks are DNA'd and our whole herd is registered with ADGA.

We raise Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats and so we manage them like dairy animals. All kids are pulled and bottle raised, all does are milked twice a day everyday, and we milk year round. Our goal is to selectively breed for does who produce milk both in high volume as well as reliably over consistent long lactations.

Nigerian Dwarf Goats

We've selected our goats for optimum dairy production. Nigerian dwarfs are compact goats, but powerful milk producers. Their small size and manageability make them an ideal choice for our little homestead.

Manuka is not normally one to eat dirt, but when her 2 year old human is offering, she accepts it just to appease her favorite tiny person.

Armenian Gamprs

We've chosen the Armenian Gampr as our livestock guardian breed. Before bringing our dogs home and incorporating them into our herd we struggled with neighbor dogs and a very brazen coyote population. Our dogs are diligent against predators and gentle with our goats!
