We call this little dude Popcorn, because the first thing he did when he got home was ping pong off my couches and knock a bowl of popcorn all over the living room. How fitting!
Popcorn took a minute to figure out his job, but he is finally up to the task and we plan to use him heavily for our Fall 2023-Spring 2024 breeding plans.
Popcorn’s dam is AR Sinai Thunder AG Lizzie Bell 2*M 2*DAR VEEE90. When I’m searching to bring in a new herdsire, I’m looking at the does behind him - most especially his dam. Lizzie was both an AGS and an ADGA Top Ten Breed Leader, her AGS Classification score was 99.07 giving her the high score in 2016 for AGS Breed Leader Overall Score. She collected milk awards, an ANNDA All-American award, and some impressive records and scores in her lifetime. Looking at the does and the production behind her, as well as some of her own daughters, this is a pedigree I’m excited to experiment with as I incorporate Popcorn into my breeding program.
